An experience at Ali's Acre
Raised beds, banana groves, and the source of every plate.
The garden at Ali's Acre is the engine of everything that happens here. Raised beds spill over with basil, mint, rocket, lettuces, chillies and spinach. Banana, papaya and pawpaw trees ring the edges, alongside Zanzibari spices and citrus.
We grow without synthetic fertilisers or pesticides, using compost from the kitchen, manure from the rabbits, and mulch from the palms. It's a slow, patient way of working with the soil, and it's why our food tastes the way it does.
Guests are welcome to wander the beds at any time. If you'd like, we can take you on a short walk through the garden and explain what's growing, what's in season, and how it'll find its way to your plate that evening.

Soak in a circular pit of mineral-rich bentonite clay, then dry off in the sun on a woven straw bed before your potli massage.

Our family of rabbits live in shaded hutches by the garden. Children (and grown-ups) are welcome to say hello.
